Over 600 days of travel from the northern tip of Europe to the southern most point of the continent; I feel a need to document my travel observations. The rich cultural contrasts and diverse landscapes stand out, but I can't help but notice our ever encroaching hold on mother nature. If only our footprints were tiptoes. In this emotional piece, I've merged acrylics, collage and ink, capturing a world where nature and humanity entwine. The work is signed on the front and back of the canvas and is ready to bring a thought-provoking ambience to any space.

"As a means of making sense of the world, I create vibrant celebrations, exploring our connection with the spaces that surround us. Line-work weaves through my canvas as a kind of narrative, relating the parts and taking root. Water is a dominant feature in my art, as the sea has been my place of respite and replenishment since my young self. I love remembering with paint. I hope to inspire others to delight in and cherish our home.” Kelly Allison's artistic inclination flourished during her design and architectural studies in Canada, the UK and Sweden. Originally from Vancouver, she has been living abroad for many years, continues to travel extensively and today lives in France. This diverse cultural background, along with her current observations of the natural world, inform her artwork.
