About The Artwork
The landscape becomes here a motive for itself, in the same way as trees, mountains, etc. In this series I pursue the quest of fragile limit between representational and abstract painting. I explore the limits between what can be in fact a traditional landscape and a cartography (map) of the ground space by using the satellite picture. The abolition of the perspective changes our perception of spatiality between diverse elements and makes coincide the surface of the landscape with the surface of the painting in a dialectical confrontation of the plan and the flat.
