What the diptych shows: Melancholy can affect anyone. Melancholy is a certain way of looking at the world and its inhabitants. My artistic intention was to use painterly means to illustrate an inner state and also to open up hope for an unencumbered delusion. Hence the two-part image division, which differ significantly in terms of brightness, color and shape. Was das Diptychon zeigt: Die Melancholie kann jeden treffen. Melancholie ist eine bestimmte Sichtweise auf die Welt und ihre Bewohner. Meinen bildnerische Intention war mit malerischen Mitteln einen inneren Zustand zu verbildlichen und auch Hoffnung auf eine unbelasteten Wahnwahrnehmung zu er eröffnen. Deswegen die zweiteilige Bildaufteilung, die sich deutlich vom der Helligkeit, Farbigkeit und der Formgestaltung unterscheiden.
