Oil painting on stretched canvas 15.7inX11.8inX0.6in (30cmX40cmX1.5cm) The Melting Blue Mountains oil painting is a beautiful depiction of a Peruvian landscape. The painting captures the natural beauty of the region, with vibrant green fields and majestic blue mountains set against a sunset sky. The colors in the painting are intense and striking, with a strong contrast between the deep blues of the mountains, the fiery sky, and the lush greens of the fields. The finger-work and brushstrokes used in the painting are bold and dynamic, giving the piece energy. The overall effect is one of awe-inspiring natural beauty, evoking the sense of being in the presence of majestic and powerful natural landscapes. - ORIGINAL Painting by Luna Smith - Not a Print or Reproduction. - Two coats of protective gloss varnish are applied to protect the painting from UV rays and dust. - Painting is signed and dated by the artist as well as accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. My name is Luna Smith, and I am an established Scottish painter. My works are sold to collectors worldwide, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. I was born in Manchester, UK, and I have travelled a lot and lived in various countries. From these experiences, I have learned much from the languages, cultures, customs, architecture, and natural environments. And in Edinburgh, Scotland, I felt like I have never felt before. I knew instantly that this city had what I wanted my whole life — a place where I truly belonged and could call home. My passion for art has been around since I was little. I often found myself in awe of the nature around me and would draw landscapes and birds for hours. Since winning my first art competition in primary school, I knew what I wanted to be. And even though I was delayed by many hardships and painful life experiences, I never lost sight of the path to my dreams. Now, I am a full-time painter, specialising in conceptual art and landscapes with oil paints. With my first brushstroke, I had fallen in love with this medium. Its thick and visible texture is captivating and truly reveals the artist’s thoughts. The struggle, the fun, and the energy that went into the painting are on full display. My unique style takes advantage of this and interprets the things around me with vigorous loose brushstrokes that are blended with expressive finger work. It not only shows the surface level of the subject, but it also allows me to paint its soul. From all the projects I’ve worked on, two collections of significance to me are “Shadows” and “Women Nature”. These paintings reflect a world full of wonders, but flawed and scarred by the struggle for survival. They are very personal, and an expression of my memories, my worries, and my dreams, and I feel very passionate about sharing them with the world.
