About The Artwork

Artwork from "Eyes of Change" series Original oil painting by Raisarti . An OMON officer is a boy in the military uniform of the OMON - a unit that disperses protests in Russia, armed with rubber batons, helmets and shields, beating people in the streets. The uniform is painted in the style of Klimt, and in the background of the boy there is yellow fog with clouds of smoke and fires. The boy appears to be only 3 years old, his light blue eyes are innocent and calm, but in contrast to his terrifying form, this creates dissonance. Allows you to think about the deception of young guys who are recruited into these units at 18-20 years old. They were told that they were fighting for a just cause, but they were being used by a political system of evil and deceit. . Fabriano paper for oil painting "Tela" 29,4x39 cm This artwork is sold unframed, can be framed under glass The drawing is titled and signed on the back and also comes with sertificate of authenticity The work will be shipped in protective packaging.

My name is Rais, and I am an artist and art educator since 2013. My life journey began with a medical degree and training in psychotherapy, but serious health issues reshaped my path and led me to rediscover my true calling. I decided to pursue my dream and immerse myself in the world of art, establishing my own studio, "Rais Art." Human emotions have always intrigued me as an artist. I aspire to capture the full spectrum of human experiences, from joy to sorrow. In my works, you can find portraits of both happy and tearful individuals. I have developed a particular interest in creating art at the peaks of both joy and sorrow. In 2022, I was compelled to leave Russia due to an aggressive conflict, and this event profoundly influenced my artistic practice. My art has become bolder and now reflects the changes in my life. In addition to interior paintings and joyful scenes, I began to focus on depicting the lives of children during wartime in a series called "Children of War," which carries a pacifist message and encourages contemplation of the consequences of armed conflicts on children. For the past two years, I have dedicated myself to creating art every single day, and I am grateful that you are interested in my work. My art is a means of expressing my thoughts and emotions, and I hope it resonates with you, inspiring reflection and connection.
