Mongetes amb botifarra Painting

The idea is joint with Carles Redon, who inspired me in Catalan culture to develop a series of pop-style paintings, but with templates. Unlike Warhol's technique that made his paintings with silkscreen, our paintings are completely handmade. First we take the photos to project them on a cardboard, then we cut out each layer giving rise to the templates themselves. We paint the paintings with stencils with colored sprays, this way we can differentiate the techniques although they may seem the same. History The sausage with beans is a classic and traditional dish of Catalan cuisine, very simple but also very characteristic of this cuisine. This dish can be considered a symbol of Catalan gastronomy and culture. The association of beans and sausage also exists in Occitan cuisine, sister to Catalan, in one of its most popular dishes: caçolet. In 19th-century barcelona's sisos inns, this dish was known as the eleven thousand virgins, probably because of the number of beans, and the sausage was a country girl. Sausage with beans is one of the most beloved dishes of Catalan cuisine. It has a popular, gang-like feel, and is firmly tied to the republican flag. It is a dish that is often eaten in the form of a sausage or in farmhouses as the end of an excursion.
