About The Artwork
Looking at the sky at all times of day or night I see the colors of clouds, moon, stars, and sun. This painting was inspired by the harvest moon in the western sky - I felt the moonbeams as they wended their way through the sky, and tried to capture that feeling so the viewers could feel it too. I used a palette knife for the speed of strokes, and acrylic paint so I could paint layer on layer without waiting for oil paint to dry. Of course I have romanticized a bit, and hope the viewer will respond to that. The painting is wired for hanging. The side edges are painted as well, so no need for framing, according to the new owner's preference.
