About The Artwork
The phenomenal late Phyllis Hyman inspired this piece to come to be. With her sultry voice in so many songs from the 1970's into the early 1990's, she captured the way I thought about music and life. Especially a song called "Moonflower". It moved me to think about how music is expanded all over the world to be heard as another universal language.
