An original oil painting depicts a series of snow-capped mountains against a light blue sky with subtle pink clouds on the horizon. Dominating the composition are three prominent mountains. The leftmost mountain is mostly in shadow, with only some of its edges catching the sunlight. The central mountain's peak is positioned near the center of the canvas, and the mountain to the right appears further away. Sunlight hits the peaks, bringing out their brightness and adding contrast to the scene. The artist's use of a variety of blues imparts a sense of crispness to the scene, and delicate brushwork contributes to the painting's sense of freshness and vitality.
