Chih Yi Chou (Elaine) is a self-taught intuitive mixed media artist based in Taiwan. She’s known for the unique style of her original paintings, acrylic and mixed media artworks she creates on her terrace. Elaine is continuously driven to develop and evolve her artistic learning through painting play and media experimentation. She is inspired by the natural world, the story between people, the challenge of growth and all things simple. The inspiration for her art usually comes from within her, through journalling or expressing her moods. Every piece of work she makes aims to express positive emotions, feelings and stories which happen around us, and to bring calmness and peace to people. The subject she wants to illustrate is a Frame of mind; life can’t be difficult all the time, it depends on what our perspective is. Through her artworks, she tries to bring light to creativity, to beat fear and anxiety.
