About The Artwork

It presents mythological Buddhistic Bird, who fights with ghosts of Earth.In this painting Gardua holds in claws the king of Naga who is half-man and half-snake. It's usualy hangs over door of the temples in Buthan, and in other Buddist countries like Tibet, Mogolia, Nepal is always placed at the head of the Throne of Lhama during the presentation of his teachings.
