Muzaffer Akyol Painting

Muzaffer Akyol (b. 1945; Trabzon), Turkish painter and writer. Although Akyol was often called a surrealist for his works, he rejected this and said that he produced works with a fantastic narrative language. He received his undergraduate education in the painting department of İDGSA (Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts), now known as Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He completed his academic education, which he started in 1968-1969, in the 1973-1974 academic year. Among his teachers are painters Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, Devrim Erbil and Neşet Günal. The artist exhibits many of his works in the building he calls "Museum-House" in Beyoğlu, Istanbul.
