TODOR IGNATOV - TONY - artist and stage designer I’ve always know I will become an artist. I have devoted myself professionally to the fine art and the theater. Irrespectively that I am a fine art artist, I’ve been always interest by the space. For the artist, as for everybody who dedicates its life to the art, are necessary lots of accumulations – of experience, of knowledge, of experiments. The fact someone can paint, doesn’t make him an artist. The drawing is not coping of the nature or of the things which surround us. The drawing is a way of thinking, a way of life. 60 years are not too much for one artist. Even it’s a too short period one to learn this vocation. Only when one learns it, can start really to create a real art. So, yet I am going to devote my life to the fine art. Todor Ignatov - Tony BIOGRAPHY of the Artist Internationally recognized Bulgarian artist and stage designer TODOR IGNATOV - TONY works in the field of fine arts as well as in the cinema, television, opera, ballet, museums... His artworks are possessed by public, private and corporate collections in Italy, Germany, UK, France, Russia, The Netherlands, Sweden, USA, Canada, Finland, Norway, Turkey, etc. In Bulgaria, the National Art Gallery, the National Museum of Applied Arts, Varna’s Museum, Naval Museum - Varna possess his oil paintings, scale models, costume design paintings. TODOR VLADIMIROV IGNATOV (b.1951) has graduated the National High School of Fine Arts in 1970 and the National Academy of Fine Arts in 1976, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Since 1977 he is a Head Stage Designer in “S. Bachvarov” Theater of Dramatic Arts – Varna, Bulgaria.
