Nest Painting

"Nest" 2021 size 50x50 cm. canvas on a stretcher, oil, acrylic, threads, beads, bones, the ends are drawn, can be hung without a frame The picture is like prediction it was painted in 2021 even before the start of the war in Ukraine. A nest drowning in blood, from which birds have flown. I was inspired to create the painting by the story of a shoemaker who repaired shoes at our place in Kherson on the Central Market. He told me about how in the 90s Russia attacked Baku and as a result of the conflict he and his family left everything and fate brought him to Kherson. He got married in Kherson and lived for many years. That man was interesting, already of a respectable age, did we know that after half a year hell would also begin in Kherson. Where is that man now? Where are all the other people who left their homes fleeing the war? How many such stories were there and how many more will there be? When will humanity stop fighting? All these questions do not have an unequivocal answer...
