Since the pandemic, the year 2020 stands for privation, fear, anger and uncertainty, but especially for the reduction of human contacts, which are reflected in my new "Neutral" series. In this series I consciously decided against my usual color palette. Therefore, my works are focused on shapes, structure and neutral colors. This big step is making me lose my most familiar and important tool, the power of color. But in every loss there is hope and a new beginning. I trust in the beauty, aesthetics and in my creativity and I’m curious about it myself, which works this new series will produce. Astrid Stoeppel For all paintings of this series I use only titanium white primed canvas or raw linen canvas in different sizes and pure acrylic color. A coat of varnish was applied to protect the painting from uv rays and dust. It is hand signed by me on the front- or backside and will arrive ready to hang.
