New York Heartbeat Painting

During this Covid pandemic, I have been stuck at home for longer than I wish to think about. So, I binge watched a great show called "white Collar", which took place in NY city. I loved the architecture shown, so I felt inspired to make this vibrant piece. This art piece is called "New York Heartbeat". 36" x 24" night scene of New York City, with vibrant colors of expression and reflections over the water. The back ground is an abstract outline of the city skyline that also represents the heart beat of the city as if on a monitor. This is a mixed media art piece. I created it digitally first and printed it on canvas. Then I meticulously spent a few days painting vibrant colors of acrylic to finish it off. It has speckles of color splashed through the entire canvas. Not only is there an abundance of color being contrasted over dark background, but there are different layers of objects over others creating a variety of depth pleasing to the eye. There is different sheens of acrylic as well giving different looks depending on lighting and perspective. It would be very difficult to ever tire of looking at this beautiful fine art piece!
