About The Artwork
A young friend had a series of strokes and brain bleeds over the course of 3 years. She was living in my house for a time. Visiting her after one of her many surgeries, I was particularly attuned to how the sky was changing so radically in a time frame that felt both fast and slow. Perhaps this was how I experienced her ever changing medical condition and healing? This painting is on heavy cold pressed Arch's paper which I treated with gesso to create a textured surface. I worked from photos.
