About The Artwork
A winter landscape shows a Raven soaring over the forests of the Dyfi valley in mid-Wales and was painted in the studio as artist-in-residence. Their characteristic 'grok, grok' call is a feature of this desolate yet beautiful environment. In the short days of February the coming of the evening and loss of daylight is abrupt, its onset heralded by the transformation of the sky into a sea of inky blue. Original watercolour on 300gsm Bockingford paper. Supplied mounted in an A3 acid-free mount board ready for framing.
