German painter Tom F. Klein has a keen eye for observing the world around him. He finds inspiration in the everyday and the people he encounters, capturing fleeting moments and subtle details. He is deeply influenced by the ‘Künstlergruppe Die Brücke'. Tom, as his idols from 'Die Brücke' did, loves to use unusually strong, unnatural colors to jolt the viewer and provoke an emotional response. He creates vivid contrasts and uses various techniques to intensify his subjects' features and deepen the mystery behind their faces. The effect is bold, but it does not overshadow the subject. Tom has a unique fascination with human beauty, which he sees in every ethnic group. He explores the irrational, fabulous, and romantic aspects that lie beneath people's appearances, and his portraits evoke sensuality, sensitivity, and an appreciation for beauty, including male beauty. He believes that male beauty is often overlooked in the art world and is passionate about bringing it back into focus. ‘The male beauty in arts give us an insight into what is special about masculinity, a vulnerable, sensual side is revealed to us. Lately a new kind of man, of male beauty has emerged, a strong man with a touch of femininity which makes 'the man' even more interesting. Tom has lived in various countries, including Germany, Argentina, Mexico, and China, and spent considerable time in the USA. He moved back to Germany in 2021. Successful exhibitions in Mexico and China brought him a lot of interest and have helped him build a large following especially in Asia. Tom’s paintings have found their way into private collections worldwide, including Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico City, Bogotá, France, Spain, Ireland, Zurich, Hamburg, and Berlin.
