About The Artwork

This work “no ape” is part of my new book and has an exclusive place there, see pictures! The book "HOPPMANN" was published in September 2023. It is an extensive illustrated book with 272 pages. "No Ape" is a work from a series on the subject of apes that I created in 2020. I didn't know why, actually I wanted to create a picture book with the theme of chimpanzees. There were a lot of sketches of monkeys and I remembered earlier times in my studies when we did a lot of drawings in the zoo. But in 2020 there was the problem that the zoos were closed because of the pandemic. So I designed the series at home and in my studio, and only much later did I recognize the consequences of the pandemic in this series of pictures.
