About The Artwork

This piece of art work represents the transition period between earlier and my present art. The original inspiration for this work came from various renderings of women; from tattoo women; from those on the covers of 1950's ''mens' '' magazines; from pin-up girls. Further, it explores the juxtaposition of spaces, and the sometimes subtle, sometimes blatant forces of destruction and evil. The painting is carried out on a one quarter inch masonite panel, which in turn, is mounted on a stretcher composed of ''one by twos''. It is ready to hang as is.... .
