About The Artwork

The sculpture was inspired by the famous Beatles (one of my favorite bands) song Strawberry Fields and its' lyrics (by John Lennon) - relating to the concept of illusion of this world. The shape of the sculpture is quite physical and emotional, plus "unreal" colors. I tried to put emotions and music and concept all together. I get lots of inspiration s from music - most etheric and abstract of all arts. And adding text, some conceptual meanings make it magical like a spell :) Some of the text words of the song is encrypted in hexadecimal "blockchain" code and is trickling down from the "seeds". The words are: Let me take you down 'Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields Nothing is real Strawberry Fields forever. The silvery background also hints on the concept of mirror and illusion. Strawberry, strawberry sculpture, blue strawberry, Beatles, Strawberry Fields, John Lennon, illusion, Maya, reality, crypto, cryptoart, blockchain, hexadecimal

I do like exploring global and fundamental concepts of existence and their manifestation in our present being. I am inspired by philosophy, metaphysics, human history and culture. I'm also interested in our new way of reality such as the new digital reality and it's relation and interaction with our physical reality. The virtual reality is becoming more and more real and there is a parallel with Eastern philosophies' consept of Maya, the illusion of this world. I am fascinated with the idea of subconscious effect of the art and I like exploring the ways of the impact. As of now I tend to minimalistic forms of expression, reducing the artworks to basic shapes and colors. I am inspired by really different forms of art and culture of various styles and times. But as of now one of my major sources of inspiration is abstract art of the beginning of the 20th century - Kandinsky, Hilma af Klint, Malevich, Piet Mondriaan, Paul Klee, Franz Marc. And abstract expressionism artists - Mark Rothko, Barnett Newman, Cy Twombly, Lee Krasner.
