About The Artwork
O' blues, is a symphony of blue, from pure blue to the lightest, to the darkest. The composition on a round canvas enhances this rhythm of light and dark, all on the tonality of deep blue. The pure blue color stands out on a texture made of a single shade, which varies in both the size of the shapes and the spaces, producing a pleasant dance of bright and shadowy colors. The whole composition is rhythmic because it seems to move forward and backward with respect to the observer, as if they were figures coming towards us from afar. Gianfranco Coltella artist.

Ho frequento la Scuola d’Arte a Saluzzo, poi il la scuola Politecnica di Design SPD a Milano 1980/82, con maestri come Bruno Munari, Attilio Marcolli e Augusto Garau. Ho lavorato presso importanti studi di architettura di Milano: Gregotti ass., De Pas D’Urbino Lomazzi, Olivetti corp.image.1982/89. Come designer ha progettato dagli spazzolini da denti (Stanhome) alle sedie (Porada Seregno), dalle lampade alle librerie, molti di questi progetti continuano ad essere in produzione da più di 20 anni. Come docente ha tenuto corsi di Basic-design, design del Colore e design del Riciclo presso i seguenti istituti: - IED (Milano-Torino) dal 1989-1996 - Politecnico Torino, Firenze dal 1989-1996 Dal 1993 pensa, disegna e produce le lampade in vetro riciclato Le Meduse prodotte e vendute in tutto il mondo e apprezzate dai migliori interior design e architetti.
