There are so many obstacles in life but there is always a way through them. Especially in the time of Covid, they may seem insurmountable but we'll get to the light eventually.

Painted with acrylics on gallery wrapped canvas using acrylic paint pen, graphite and collage. Sides are painted white and it is signed and dated on the back. This piece would look wonderful in a simple floater frame.

Inspired by the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat because of his powerful paintings that are also free and sometimes childlike.

Linda O’Neill grew up in Northern California before moving to Boulder, Colorado in 1997. She loves living near the mountains where she gains inspiration from the landscape on early morning walks with her husband and Dutch Shepherd. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Dominican University in San Rafael, California. It was there that she developed a passion for abstract expressionism which led her to further develop her talent as an abstract painter. Her many exhibitions in museums and galleries and international art fairs have included: Littleton Museum of Art, Littleton, Colorado; Alexandria Museum of Art, Alexandria, Louisiana; Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, Augusta, Georgia; and Stephen F. Austin University in Texas; among others. She has received many awards that include Best of Show: Second Place for her painting “Ordinary Limits” in an exhibition “Destination”presented at the Littleton Museum, Littleton, CO. She received an Award of Excellence in “The Healing Power of Art 2020” exhibition curated by Renee Phillips, Director of Manhattan Arts International, New York, New York, “for her originality, technical prowess, and cohesive creative vision that reflects depth, fluidity and an optimistic spirit.” Linda and her art have been featured in numerous art publications, directories, and books. She was selected for inclusion in the Art Folio Book: “Curated Collection of the World’s Most Exciting Artists”, published by Glitterati Editions, New York, NY; was a Featured Artist in Emergo Art Magazine, based in The Netherlands; and Vogue UK magazine. Prior to pursuing her own art career, Linda worked as a Digital Painter on motion pictures and commercials at Industrial Light+Magic, the special effects division of LucasFilm.
