About The Artwork
This was a work from my studies at the Academy of Faber-Castell. We worked a lot with soft pastels, it's a wonderful material. This was learning and developement, Today it isn't my style anymore to paint vessels or landscapes. Of cause I keep my best works of these years, this is also a part of me. But I loved to overwork this one. So I can combine old and new. Pastelpaintings are very fragile, also this special paper for pastels is very delicate. So I put it in this IKEA frame as a protection. Of cause you can choose a better frame for it. And so it's ready to hang.

Besides my job as a dentist my heart always belonged to art. I painted every free minute, I wanted to capture the music of the waves, the fire of the setting sun and the hymn of the wind in my paintings. Inspired by visits of museums all over Europe my art got influenced by 'Informal Art'. My role models are Emil Schumacher, Anselm Kiefer, Jean Dubuffet, Alberto Burri and last but not least I was impressed deeply by Jackson Pollock and Franz Kline. With my paintings I want to express a passionated joy about the beauty of life, the beauty of art and the beauty of the world. And I would like to draw peoples' attention on current topics and issues. I want to make aware of the problems of our time as environmental destruction.
