I dedicated myself to journalism and have been writing about artists for 11 years. Then I worked in Nickolay Roerich Museum, where I finally understood the necessity of following my child's dream and to take a paintbrush in my hands again. I've been painting using watercolour during 6 years. Every day. Time by time I take tutorials by proffecional artists I've written about being a journalist. I've chosen the watercolour for its spontaneity, lightness and naturalness. Watercolour is my cup of tea, my high spirit. It is practically impossible to control watercolour . You can only come to an agreement with watercolour. First I painted flowers because involved myself into floristic design. I made sketches of flowers during my two-year studies in the International school of floristic design "Nicole". Except of flowers I’ve always had passion for animals. Therefore, I’ve found it equally interesting to contemplate not only how light playfully settles on gorgeous lion’s mane in the zoo but also how street cat’s hair reflects light when it lazily sprawl on the porch. An irresistible desire to depict animals in watercolor has driven me to greenly pasturelands, rural stables, and unique conservations where I could observe diverse animals in their natural habitats. Some of my paintings were sold to zoos. I am also extremely keen on landscapes and often catch a moment to make a sketch in my pad with intention to further develop it into a grand watercolor painting, which then will perfectly suit the interior. Beside of watercolor I’m fascinated by painting in gouache and ink. To master drawing with a pan and ink a widely-known Russian graphic-artist Olga Rubtsova helps me.
