About The Artwork
This artwork is inspired by fabric I've seen in old family photographs. My grandmother was very much into patterns, and she often mixed and matched some very loud ones.Being that the photographs were black and white, and a little fuzzy, I took artistic freedom in choosing the colors, and odd details with the patterns. I enjoy putting dimensional illusions within flat-seeming patterns, and created this illusion with yellow and silver. I hope the viewer can experience the warmth of the memory, even though the piece is executed in mostly warm colors.
