About The Artwork
The Pangolin is the only mammal which has scales. When it walks on it's hind legs Iit reminds me of a mythological dragon. This sweet, docile animal is the most poached creature in the world! It is eaten as meat, and it's scales are used in medicine. When it becomes afraid it curls up in a ball much like a rolly poly bug. This make it easy for the hunters to pick them up and throw them in a bag. I hope other will enjoy this adorable creature as I have. Interesting facts about the Pangoilns are written in cursive along the edge of the canvas, bringing an educational aspect to the piece, and framing it as well.
