A mixed media piece. Layers of paper collage are layered with paint, scraped back, layered again, each application responding intuitively to the previous one, layers of remembered and forgotten history. A grey construction of rectangular blocks resonates one to the next in subtle tones of grey, also framing the picture. We look and see and look again. Warm, subtle, calm, alive and organic. Paper breathes.
