ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In this visceral piece, my brushes danced with oils, crafting a scene steeped in nostalgia and longing. Infused with the intimate charm of Montmartre, the painting encapsulates the vibrant allure of a Parisian café, inviting viewers into a moment paused in time. I sought to convey the mundane yet deeply personal rituals of city life, the silent narratives we weave with every step. The solitary figure embodies this spirit—a whisper of connection, carrying the tranquil solitude of the urban wanderer. This artwork isn't just a visual experience; it's an emotional rendezvous, adding a soulful resonance to any room it graces. This painting was inspired by my photograph of the cafe. The painting will be sent ready to hang in a box with a certificate of authenticity.

. My recent paintings and photographs of Parisian, Veinnese and New York everyday life are inspired by the many summers and winters we have lived in the cities. I truly believe thet art is the highest form of hope. Jo Tuck's works are in private collections around the world and regularly participates in shows in New York, Caelum Gallery, and London. , including Christie's Cancer benefit show and the RA Summer shows Her background is film editing until she became a full-time painter and photographer. While she was at college she made two 16mm short films, one on the Australian Aboriginal Women and another on Sheep farming in Wales. After film editing for the BBC and feature films I took up painting and photography full time. My photojournalism is inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Eugene Atget, and Robert Frank .
