Many different layers make an impression of lots of light behind the clouds, and I love to catch this special light very much. This colorful painting reminds me of a dream, a warm golden light at the still wild sea, the light breaking through already making a wonderful atmosphere of hope and love. The doves flying into the wild storm trying to bring peace is a synonym for somebody bringing peace into difficult conditions, a new chance in life, a new start, new promises and so they are a symbol of hope. 80x80x4 cm, Acrylic mixed media on wood. Signed on the back, ready to hang with hooks on the back. Sides are painted and part of the painting. The painting is quite heavy because it is painted on a big wooden box. Certificate of Authenticity included. (c) Gesa Reuter 2018 Please be aware that colors may differ on different monitors. This painting contains a lot of gold, lila, blue and pink colors with some white. It has some texture due to the many layers of color on it. The golden color will sparkle when hit by light!

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
