Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Ink and Pencil on Paper.

This piece is part of my “Improvisations in Ink” series.
It is a subtle and delicate abstract composition which plays on the fluidity of paint and on it’s randomness as a metaphor for life’s unpredictability.
The technical process involves applying several thin layers of acrylic ink on Yupo paper. Because this paper is waterproof, the paint sits on it until it completely evaporates, allowing a slow buildup of layers before it reaches it’s final shape. The transparency of the paint enable us to see what is underneath, exposing every layer's rich details.
The painting is framed with an acid-free white matte and contemporary silver frame. The size of the frame is 18”X14”, with a depth of 13”/16”.
