About The Artwork
I painted this piece with many layers of colour and texture with flowing intuitive marks. The vibrant colours and markmaking are partially masked by the layer of thick white added with a palette knife. This painting illustrates how hope and brightness can break through and brighten our world. Often there are defensive layers built up over a lifetime and when we peel them away as we heal, the bright light and joy can be allowed to stand proud.
