Petals Everywhere Painting

Art and creativity have always held a special place in my heart. Among all the subjects I explore, landscapes, florals, and abstracts have become my favorites. Recently, I embarked on a new artistic series called "Just Breathe." In this series, I delve into the realm of floral and nature-based abstraction. When I paint, I strive to convey the emotions that nature evokes within me. I approach the canvas with a loose and expressive style, beginning with abstract mark making. As I progress, I merge washes and multiple layers of partially transparent paint, intertwining them with additional mark making. Gradually, my brushstrokes become bolder and more opaque, building up the canvas with a captivating depth and texture. With each layer I add, I aim to create a force of passion that beckons the viewer to wander through the painting. Throughout the creative process, I constantly question whether I am capturing the essence of my emotions on the canvas and whether it brings joy to those who gaze upon it. My ultimate aspiration is to share this power and joy with my audience, offering them a transformative experience through art. This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting on 2" thick gallery wrapped canvas done in acrylic, graphite, crayons, colored pencil, pastels and oil sticks. The painting is varnished with a satin varnish to protect from dirt and the sun. The edges of the canvas are a continuation of the painting. It is wired and ready to hang. Signed by the artist on front and back.
