About The Artwork
Our last outing, before pulling up the drawbridge to ride out the Covid-19 lockdown, was to Petworth Park for a walk on a beautiful, cold, sunny spring day. The park was created by Capability Brown in the 18th Century Many of the original oaks planted at that time still survive. They have grown into weird shapes and the way the branches of these trees were closing off the wide open sky symbolised the way our freedom was being curtailed to fight the virus.
