I paint most of my works as I am driven to do so, often having no clue why I needed to paint that image until done. This was painted at the start of the Ukraine Russian war. Personally I can't stand Picasso as a human being (truthfully there would be many artists throughout history that disrespected women as he did). Thus day and age with the cancel culture this guy wouldn't last long, but unfortunately he is a predator that will stand the test of time because art galleries and the like make millions off him. We definitely know that the rich and famous get away with many things and it's the rich that continues to get richer off Picassos art and excuse the kind of person he was. Now that I have said my bit, I never imagined painting a Picasso work but I am subconsciously driven to paint my pieces then I stand back and analyse why. Once I finished it I looked into what Picassos piece meant, which it was all about the pain of war. Just as many were suffering today unfortunately humans still haven't learned much since then. It's very unfortunate that lives don't mean much to some people isn't it? So this is the deep reason for this piece being painted. Both the powers and the ones that control humanity and the money could care less about the lives and people that Picasso damaged for his fame and also the same about all of the damaged caused by others to others. Not just in war too, I think about how so many humans could care less about how their actions impact anyone else. As long as they get what they want they could care less! Bit deeper than the image right?
