About The Artwork

I had enough of my perfectionism and let the child in me “destroy” the perfection in my paintings. I also have a problem with the fact that in today`s art market "no art" sells better than "just" art, "childisch drawings" are sold for millions, while the ability to paint no longer counts. That`s the reason why I put the two completely different directions against each other and let them compete on the canvas. But instead of struggle it has become harmony. I also found back to my inner, deeply hidden childhood memories while I was working. This is the first picture of this series, which I believe from now on is my new style. There are not only two different styles juxtaposed, but the reality of the exploited adult soul is also confronted with the innocent dreams of the children about a successful life, happiness and family. On the other hand, the woman, the main figure with the cigarette in her mouth, is the symbol of bitterness and emptiness, but therefore also a symbol of the invaluable expreiences she made in her life. I love to work with opposing poles and contradictions, because through them I can emphasize my message even more. Opposing poles support each other characteristically.
