About The Artwork
The Pomnit series deals with the problem of distortions recorded in memories. In a sense, distortions are a side effect of memory, an inherent feature of it, because it would be too wasteful to permanently represent information in the mind in a non-sensory form. That is why in my paintings I did not correct errors, I did not fill gaps, I did not fight with the updated image of bodies, I did not avoid deformations. According to the technology of oil painting, Pomnit V was varnished after the oil paints were completely dry, i.e. after 8 months
