I enjoy drawing and painting plants. I believe life study is the most effective way to sharpen an artists skills. This plein air life study explores color and design aspects of my process. I love the work of Van Gogh and Wayne Tiebaud - I think those influences are present here. The painting is on wood and is finished in a way that a frame isn't necessary. The 3.5cm thick edges are finished with a neutral dark brown that is ready to hang on the wall.
