The new series of works is dedicated to people who have left a certain mark on my life. They outline my state of life over a period of time. I've been thinking a lot about how to embody contemporary code with my personal story… The most valuable representation of that story is portraits. I always approached them with the utmost respect because they know best how to convey the truth, the personal and the universal. The format and technique of portraits are more traditional (canvas and acrylic). Because of the great tradition of portraiture, I had to find a new way of expressing that same form. Today, contemporary portraits are present in at most one form, it's a selfie. And so, researching on various social platforms where I find many faces of today's narcissistic apocalypse, I discover that the most important factor in all these portraits is reflection. A reflection that is no longer so social or activist but deeply embedded in our personal experience of ourselves. It can be said that through various applications we became more aware of our unnecessary physical elements and pushed the more important ones. I wanted the application to be involved in the process of developing face shaping. On instagram, I find a filter that attracted me personally because it contains an understanding of narcis. In that filter, the face blends into itself without delineating the environment. Reflection is no longer palpable to others, even though we are connected but only to us, who are closing in on our magic balloon. Communication is also becoming more mutated, striking various aesthetic visual cracks. To get back to portraits, these are all people who have changed in my world and in others. Some portraits have nothing to do with it. mixing pure cultures and digital visualizations.
