About The Artwork
The painting shows my friend, a Turk. He inspired me with his picturesque oriental appearance to create this picture. I hope that this portrait, and especially the headgear, will take the viewer to the time of the Ottoman Empire. When I painted this portrait, I was inspired by the works of the English artist Solomon Joseph Solomon
