About The Artwork
I had visited Prague however it took me some time to decide on how to capture the scale of this lovely City. I decided to give it height by painting it from the perspective of looking over the Charles bridge onto the Aristocratic quarter. I love the color's of the buildings and tried to capture the variety and how it all blends using layers of rich oil paints to give depth.

Later years spent in Edinburgh and Glasgow provided a rich and varied backdrop for his work,his paintings attempting to capture the ‘quiet glamour’ of the buildings and people. Now living in the historic city of Lancaster his work often incorporates a vintage/retro theme in tune with the city and coastal landscapes.
