About The Artwork
This work was born out of my experience on the road when I saw a man in the heat of my city, carrying a bag of maize meal. I hope to evoke feelings of responsibility, hard work and the sense of being a provider for others. I use Acrylic as a medium of expression due to its texture and the way it produces effects during colour mixing. The male figure is important to me because it symbolises protection and provider in family life. I call my style: Semi Abstract Visual Expressionism. I want to simply paint emotions depicted in the manner I mix colour with a lot of freedom

Elliot Ngosa is a Visual Artist from Zambia. He was born in the northern part of Zambia. He has been an artist all his life but started serious painting in 2012. Elliot is fully involved in charity works and loves promoting art in community schools apart from doing studio work. He is also founder of a roject called St. Anthony Art project for Charity [SAAPC] whose objective is to sponsor Orphans and vulnerable children in their education.
