As a former Texan who was flooded twice in Friendswood, just outside Houston, I was very proud of Texas and how well they helped each other through Hurricane Harvey. But then it was Florida's turn when Hurricane Irma came to call, and we all held our breath as she hit Barbuda, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Jamaica, Hispanola, the Keys and Miami . Compared to what they went through, we know we were very blessed here, so I painted this abstract to express how we all helped each other to pull through. And even if you've never been through a hurricane, we all face illness and challenges, and we do our best--with the help of others--to pull through. (2) 12 x 12 panels, diptych, no hanging hardware included, protected with a satin varnish.
