About The Artwork
To be specific: the materials are plexiglass, primer, epoxy on wood, framed. I write, I research and I listen to how people speak their own personal language. The spoken word and culture is forever changing as is my ear onto such things and my documentation of life. A categorization of things, stories, jokes, and everyday things led me towards many facets of our culture including here; Pulp Fiction. I borrowed many titles from 50's trampy paperback books and wove them together in a poetic, sing-song, stream of consciousness narrative. I'm also interested in how the written word becomes more important through presentation and texture. This new technique that I've discovered blends painting with newer technologies while paying homage to both in art history.
