About The Artwork

"Quantum Townhouse", metallic acrylic on canvas, 15x21cm... (...) Watching his works we have the feeling that we participate in an imaginary pilgrimage through history crowded citadel; that we climb stairs and sneak on the narrow streets to discover testimonies of legends about heroes and events modelled along time from one generation to another. Serge Vasilendiuc's paintings have the gift to challenge the viewer's imagination. He discovers another time, unsuspected, one of the transcendental conditions, as a century ago were acting Giorgio de Chirico, Wassily Kandinsky and other representatives of avant-garde painting... (Liviu Suhar) (...) Serge Vasilendiuc uses a sign, a metaphor and closes in the paintings such a kind of reflection which the icon has. The range of colours, sophisticated in its restraint, harmonizes with the discipline of composition. The philosophical and meditative character of this painting is also emphasized by the art criticism… (Jolanta Antecka)
