Ghostly hand represents LGBTQ+ who did not survive their coming out processing, for whatever reason ... usually a combination of negative unaccepting environments of school, home, friends, work, as well as a severe absence of LGBTQ+ friends and allies that many youth are too afraid to reach out for or may not know where to find them, and even when they do, they often battle internal homophobic feelings in not yet accepting themselves and decline to make any effort to keep the friendships . These early years are dangerous and sadly, statistically, do not have good outcomes.
