THIS IS A DRAWING, IN THE 1960'S, OF MODELE AT ARTSCHOOL WHO NEEDED SOME WORK AND THE WHOLE CLASS FELT HER SADNESS AND HER NEED FOR A LITTLE MONEY AND WE ALL RESPECTED HER FOR THAT AND TRYING SO HARD TO CONTINUE IN LIFE IN A RESPECTABLE WAY. I REVISITED THIS DRAWING IN 2017 AND CONTINUED ON MY COMPUTER IN COLOR WITH ILLUSTRATOR AND MADE IT LARGER. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 3 WEEKS TO BUILD UP THE BODY WITH SMALL TRANSPARENT BRUSHES. I HOPE THAT VIEWERS CAN FEEL HER DIFFICULT TIME WHICH CORRESPONDED TO WHATS NOWN AS A "BLUE PERIOD" IN ONES LIFE.

Studied at Horsey college of art & st Martins college of art Studied painting and general course then specialised in sculpture. Have exhibited in several exhibitions in Tunisia but there are many proplems in tunisia for art in general. I am very interested in multi-medias, photography, computer images and brushes made by me and have mixed drawings from artschool 40 years ago with present day medias which I often print an edition of several copies, signed and numbered. Womens liberty in the arabe world and in general is often a source of inspiration for me.
