Switzerland
Born and raised in Singapore. Living in Switzerland since 2000. My inspiration of my artworks come from my experience living more than 2 decades in both Asian and European environment and my background as an engineer. With a degree in civil engineering and having worked with the analysis of concrete have had a great influence to my artworks. With a deep understanding of concrete both in the micro and macro aspect, I began to see myself transforming them into artistic form. My artworks are created using sand and acrylic on canvas simulating the texture of concrete. Layers and layers of high quality acrylics are applied to the canvas with a spatula and sometimes directly from the tube. My paintings include abstract as well as figurative form. Gerald Richter and Pierre Bonnard are my favorite artists, I love their style and colours respectively. My works focus on colours, emotions, balance and harmony. I have actively been exhibiting in Geneva since 2006. Personal collection of my works are found in Switzerland, United Kingdom, Germany and France.
