Reclining Woman Painting

"Reclining Woman" is a painting I did at the end the last of my high school art classes. It is of a family photograph of myself that I found of a place that has always seemed timeless and ageless, a little hollow at the base of a mountain in the Appalachians known by some as Wortroot. We used to go visit this stream or creek as locals called it and swim in it. There was a tub there and we floated the tub and sometimes we floated in the tub for a little while to see how long it would float, which wasn't too long, to be honest, but someone caught a snapshot of it when it was floating. But for you, you can make your own story. It is a portrait of me, the artist but maybe you see a happy time in it. It is of an eleven year old child but it is called "Reclining Woman" because it can be whatever you want it to be.
